STEP 1: ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Admission to the programme will be at the sole discretion of the Academic Board of The One Academy.

Programme Entry Requirements Duration Intake

Foundation in Communication Design

  • Pass SPM/O-Level with minimum five (5) credits including English; or
  • UEC with 5Bs including English; or
  • Other equivalent qualifications as approved by the Ministry of Education.

Foundation in Interior Architecture Design

  • Pass SPM/O-Level with minimum five (5) credits including a pass in Mathematics, English and Art Subject; or
  • UEC with 5Bs including a pass in Mathematics, English and Art Subject; or
  • Other equivalent qualifications as approved by the Ministry of Education.
  • For students without Art Subject: Pass Portfolio Review or Drawing Test conducted by The One Academy

BA (Hons) Graphic Design


BA (Hons) Digital Media Design


BA (Hons) Interior Architecture and Design

  • Pass SPM/O-Level with minimum five (5) credits; or
  • UEC with 5Bs; or
  • STPM: 2 full passes with minimum CGPA 2.0 ; or
  • A-Levels with 2 credits; and
  • Pass relevant Foundation Programme that is recognized by the Ministry of Education; or
  • Diploma in Advertising & Graphic Design/ Diploma in Multimedia Design/ Diploma in Interior Design or other equivalent and relevant Diploma Programme that is recognized by Ministry of Education.
  • For students without Art subject: Pass Portfolio Review or Drawing Test conducted by The One Academy.

English Requirement or Equivalent required by University of Hertfordshire:


  • IELTS overall score of 6.0; or
  • SPM (GCE O-Level English 1119)/GCSE /IGCSE English Language: Grade C or better.

Note:

English Language Requirements

Proficiency in English is fundamental to your success at The One Academy. You are required to undergo our English Placement Test to determine your English level. If the test result is not satisfactory, then you will have to enrol into our Intensive English Program (IEP) for a semester (depending on your progress and achievement), before commencing the main programme.


STEP 2: PAYMENT INSTRUCTION

A registration fee & tuition deposit of RM2000/USD667 is required after received our email notification.

STEP 3: DOCUMENTATION REQUIREMENTS

You will receive a confirmation of your application via email. You will be advised to post the following required documents to the academy:


  • Portfolio comprises of:

  • Original bank-in slip/bank's TT confirmation

  • Certified true copies of academic qualifications and School Leaving / Completion Certificate. If the original documents are not in English / Bahasa Melayu they must be translated and certified by an authorized body / embassy from your country.

  • Proof of English Proficiency

  • Supporting Documents for Credit Transfer (if applicable)

  • Documentary evidence (if financed by scholarship/sponsorship/study loan)

  • Student Hostel Application Form (if you require accommodation). A hostel booking fee of RM400 is required (non-refundable)

  • Local student: A photocopy of the Identity Card (IC), Two (2) recent passport-sized colour photographs with name written on the reverse.

  • International student: Two photocopies of passport in A4 size (The whole booklet including all blank pages), four (4) recent passport-sized colour photographs with name written on the reverse

  • TERMS & CONDITIONS

    1. Refund - Visa Rejection/ College Rejection

    Tuition fees are refundable in full except registration fee; only if the student's visa application is rejected or if the application is rejected by the

    college.


    2. Withdrawal

    Applicants must inform the Registrar in writing if they are withdrawing from the course of study.


    In the event of a student failing to complete the course of study, the institution is not obliged to return any part of the fees paid.

    All payments made are non-refundable & non-transferable EXCEPT refundable deposits.


    3. Deferral

    Applicants must apply to the Registrar in writing.


    Please note that tuition fees, charges for the relevant programme may increase during the period of which an applicant has deferred

    commencement of their studies.


    Applicants will be subjected to the course syllabus or assessment policy that is applicable upon commencement of their studies.


    4. Personal Data Protection
